One of my favorite photography locations in Miami is the enchanting Vizcaya. Renowned for its architectural beauty and lush gardens, Vizcaya is a coveted spot for bridal portraits, fashion shoots, and more. It’s no wonder that many photographers in Miami flock to this gem for their sessions.

When planning a photoshoot at Vizcaya, it’s essential to consider the pricing, which varies depending on whether it’s for personal or commercial purposes. Starting at around $195, it’s best to check their website for the most current rates.

From my personal experience working at Vizcaya, here are a few tips to make the most of your shoot:

Plan Ahead: Vizcaya’s sprawling estate means extra time is needed to move around. Allocate enough time in your schedule to avoid rushing through the beauty.
Travel Light: Unless you’re conducting a commercial product shoot (which incurs higher fees), try to bring minimal equipment. Nothing on wheels is allowed unless it’s for a commercial shoot.
Makeup and Prep: Plan your makeup and styling in advance. While Vizcaya does have a coffee shop that can double as a lunch spot, it’s best to have everything set before you arrive.
Early Access: For an additional fee, Vizcaya offers early opening times. They can open the gates for you nearly at sunrise, which I absolutely adore. There’s nothing like the serene morning light and the coolness of an early summer day to create the perfect shot.

As a beauty photographer in Miami, I recently conducted a photoshoot for Hair Talk USA, a company specializing in hair extensions. We had three beautiful models on set to showcase the new in-season hair extensions.

Applying extensions is a time-consuming process, so it’s important to allocate plenty of time for hair and makeup. To give the hair a natural look, use the best lighting available; your client will appreciate the effort. Additionally, help the models with posing, as modeling hair can be challenging. The hair needs to stay in perfect shape, requiring constant attention and adjustments.

With plenty of shade and fewer crowds on weekdays, it’s an ideal spot for beauty photography in Miami. The natural surroundings provide a perfect backdrop, enhancing the model’s features beautifully. I used daylight and a close white reflector to achieve this amazing outcome. The results speak for themselves, showcasing the natural beauty of the model and the location. Hair and Beauty Photography for Biosil USA

Behind the Scenes of a Photoshoot for Biosil USA

I recently did a photoshoot for Biosil USA, showcasing their body supplements for women’s health and beauty. As a commercial photographer in Miami, this project was a fantastic opportunity to showcase my skills in a beautiful setting.

The Goal

The primary objective was to capture images that showcase healthy nails, glowing skin, and vibrant hair—key benefits of Biosil’s supplements. As a dedicated hair and beauty photographer, my aim was to create compelling visuals that would convince women to incorporate these products into their beauty routine.

The Setup

I used professional photography equipment for this shoot. This included Profoto lights, Sunbounce reflectors, Hasselblad and Nikon cameras, Elinchrom lights, and Paul Buff modifiers. This setup ensured we achieved the perfect lighting to highlight the model’s healthy features, emphasizing the organic and age-defying qualities of Biosil’s products.

The Team

Our team was fantastic, consisting of a beautiful model, a fabulous hairstylist, a flawless makeup artist, and a fashion stylist who ensured every detail was perfect. The collaborative effort of this great crew contributed to a fun and productive shoot.

The Experience

Shooting in Malibu was a dream. The sunny weather and beautiful beach made it perfect for capturing health and beauty. Sharing behind-the-scenes photos of the process adds authenticity and excitement, showing viewers how these ads are made.
