BTS Fashion Photography for Aureum Collective in Miami
I’ve worked on several photography projects for Aureum Collective, creating images for both Instagram and ecommerce. The brand focuses on luxury belts and bags with beautiful metallic details that almost look like jewelry. Photographing accessories like this is all about creating light that makes the products shine while still keeping the images soft, natural, and fashionable.
Most of these shoots take place in my Miami daylight studio. I love combining natural daylight with controlled studio lighting because it creates a clean and luxurious look while still feeling real. For this project, I used my favorite lighting setup with Profoto lights and a large 5-foot Elinchrom octabox. This combination gives soft light on the skin while keeping enough contrast and shine on the accessories.
Luxury belts can actually be very difficult to photograph because of the reflective metallic hardware. Every small movement changes the reflections and highlights. Reflectors were a big part of this setup because they helped the metal details glow naturally and stand out beautifully on camera. The goal was to create images that feel bright, elegant, and expensive while still looking effortless.
A big part of fashion photography is the full production behind the scenes. Great images are never only about the camera. They are created by a talented team working together on set. For these shoots, we had a beautiful model, professional makeup artist, stylish wardrobe, and carefully selected clothing to match the accessories perfectly. Everything from hair and makeup to posing and styling helps create the final mood of the campaign.
I always try to create images that help customers imagine themselves wearing the products. That’s especially important for ecommerce and social media photography today. The lighting needs to feel natural, the styling needs to feel modern, and the accessories need to stand out immediately when someone scrolls through Instagram or visits an online store.
For Aureum Collective, the focus was creating clean luxury fashion imagery that works both for social media content and ecommerce product pages. We photographed the products on model to bring more life and emotion into the images instead of shooting the accessories alone. Working with movement, natural posing, and soft daylight creates photos that feel more real and aspirational at the same time.
One thing I really love about this type of shoot is how much beauty can be created directly in camera before retouching even begins. The behind-the-scenes images shared here are completely untouched RAW files straight from the camera. No retouching, no color correction, and no cleanup. It shows how important good lighting and production are during the actual photoshoot.
When the lighting, styling, makeup, and model all work together correctly, the final images already look beautiful before editing. Retouching simply becomes the finishing touch instead of trying to fix the image later.
These final photos are being used by Aureum Collective across Instagram, social media campaigns, and their ecommerce website. Here are some behind-the-scenes moments from the shoot and a look at how the images were created before final retouching.
